Looking at this years 2020 collection.

A reflection of Riccardo Tisci’s personal archive a collection inspired by his memories of travel and discovery that have informed him as a designer.

The one consistent item of clothing in Burberry, is their classic trench coat. It is consist within this collection and also within their print. They use their classic beige/nude colour scheme with hints of colour and black. I think the main thing is that as a collection it is fluid and you can see a pattern throughout each item. The contrast of an Italian fashion designer and a British brand having a collaboration has really fed into the identity.

It has come alongway as Burberry stated that this collection has been “certified sustainable” and they are trying the have less of a carbon footprint. The designer Riccardo Tisci, also shared his ideas about global influences in his collection and that his influence has helped this collection become more sustainable.

In the collection, it is a mix of the classic Burberry print and pleated madras checks (hand woven fabric from India, the checks are larger and more obvious) and this helps the collection to factor into both British and cultural. they also had male and female models so that the collect can be aimed at both gender. In my opinio, this is one of their best collections yet, it’s sleek and on trend.
